Frequently Asked Questions
Why is this series of events occurring over a holiday weekend?
The majority of the events take place around the same time every year. Having all four 10 Crucial Days 250 events in one long weekend allows us to give visitors and historic interpreters alike the most “bang for the buck.” It is a unique opportunity to observe the holiday season while participating in a once-in-a-generation anniversary event.
Are these events at different sites?
Yes. Be sure to read the schedule of events carefully, as not every event is at the same site.
Wait, there are two Washington’s Crossings?
There are indeed. Washington Crossing Historic Park in Pennsylvania and Washington Crossing State Park in New Jersey both host spectators for the famous Crossing of the Delaware event. Be sure to plan ahead and map out your drive. The bridge over the Delaware River at the Crossings closes earlier than you expect.

Are there any other details we should know ahead of time?
